Challenge
Update an existing data center with end of life hardware to a modern infrastructure using dell servers and vmware esxi hypervisor and vcenter controller.
Solution
Performed a migration by establishing the infrastructure in parallel with the existing legacy equipment, installed vsxi and vcenter on the new equipment, performed the migration of the existing vms from the old environment to the new environment. established the networking configuration to bring the new system offline, performed a cutover from the old production system to the new production system.
